As part of World Environment Day 2025, UNEP’s initiative, the Tide Turners Plastic Challenge (TTPC), Will mark the occasion with special events on June 2, in India. TTPC is one of the largest youth-led environmental movements, mobilizing young people to take action against plastic pollution. Since its inception in Kenya, TTPC has expanded globally and has engaged over 990,000 youth in 60+ countries with 1 million set to be reached before World Environment Day. The summit will showcase inspiring stories and best practices from youth leaders across India who have taken meaningful steps to reduce plastic waste in their communities. To inspire and mobilize young people as key drivers of environmental sustainability, particularly in the global campaign to #BeatPlasticPollution.
